Like there’s a dip in your tongue? How far does it sink? Mine has a small dip in it where the ball kinda nestles itself into. But if it’s covering more than half of the ball id consider a different end piece or ask your piercer

I’ve never had that happen to me and I’ve had double piercings.

For me I had residual swelling I didn’t even realise was there till one morning about 3 months after the piercing it was finally all gone. If the piercing goes red, hot and the swelling won’t subside or go down, it never hurts to get a piercer to have a look at it, or a doctor.

use ur toothbrush to clean around the underneath of the ball because thats what happens but it just looks like ur tongue might have build up yhats y it gives it that depth lookjust push it up like this and get as close as u can all underneath it but be gental cause its fairly new to you

And personally I kept my longer bar in until the three month mark because it was still a tad swollen around the ball. Which if you changed it to a shorter bar I’d recommend changing it back until the 3 month mark I know it seems annoyingly long but your tongue swells at night (everyone’s does just more noticeable when you have a tongue piercing) so until the swelling is 100% gone it’s going to swell more at night to where you honestly should have a longer bar in.

Your tongue is still swollen around the ball you can see that in the picture. The swelling doesn’t completely 100%go away until about 3 months after you get it pierced mine looked like that for about 2.5 months I now have just a tiny little indent where the ball sits on my tongue but that’s normal.

it’s normal , just a annoying scary part of the healing it’s just from your tongue being so swollen the ball left a indent . should go away after a couple days , you will be fine 🙂

its normal ive had my tongue pierced for 17 years. if it bothers you so bad get a longer barbell or a smaller top ball
