Urgent advice needed pertaining to work...

Im scheduled to work at 5:00 this evening. Yesterday I was told by my landlord to expect our water to be out from 10am-3pm today. It’s now 3:35 and no water. For hygiene purposes is it ethical for me to call out? What do I say? I need quick advice as I want to call out as soon as possible if that’s a reasonable thing to do in my situation. Thanks. I’m a cashier if that matters any.
