staph?

probably a dumb question, but can you get staph from a human bite? Last night a two year old bit the shit out of my finger and today there is a white bump. It feels tight and hurts pretty bad. I've never had staph before, but dr google is freaking me out. Any insight? Looks worse in person. Should I pop it?

It doesn’t look like staph to me. But staph is a bacteria that lives on the skin and enters wounds so if the kid broke skin it is possible. See if it gets bigger in the next 24 hours and if it does get seen.

Soak it in salt and warm water for 15 mins or so and it will help draw any pus out. I doubt it's staph though.
