Period and the pill

So just finished my first pack of 21-day birth control pills on Tuesday night. I started the pill on the second day of my period, and just got my period now. On day 24 of my cycle, with very little blood. It’s only been two days of not taking any pills, this is normal right? And I would start the next pack as soon as I finish my period, or on Wednesday? (After seven days, which generally is also the day I’d finish my period).

I ask here because I’m in a country where BC pills can’t be taken unless you’re married, so I can’t really speak to a doctor. My boyfriend and I just use it as a form of protection.
