Car Seat Reimbursement from INS.

How exactly does car insurance reimbursement work from geico insurance. We were in a wreck and totaled the car. baby was not in the car thank goodness. I can't find any info on the website and I've gotten conflicting info from two differe t geico adjusters. one said it had to be the same make and model. But our car adjuster said "it does not have to be the same make or model. And there is no dollar limit. It just has to be the same style. meaning you can't have an infant seat then buy a convertible". So I'm confused and don't want to get screwed over.
