Gestational diabetes

I am 30 weeks pregnant & just had to undergo the 3 hour glucose test yesterday because I failed the one hour test by ONE point. I of course failed 1/4 of my blood draws yesterday too so now I have to meet with a diabetes educator next week. I’m 5’4” and my pre-pregnancy weight was 138. I’m now only 151 lbs & measuring exactly how i should be so my Doctor was actually surprised I failed. I’m so upset because I feel like I did this to myself! I’m generally a healthy eater but I’ve definitely eaten a lot of unhealthy snacks & a lot of fruit juice so far this pregnancy.

Has anyone gone through this? How miserable are these last 10 weeks going to be now? I’m dreading checking my own blood sugar because I’m a baby & hate needles.

I also should never have googled gestational diabetes because now I’m terrified of something going wrong with my baby.
