Is my sons crib safe?

He’s been sleeping in a pack n play and tomorrow he’s 9 months old so we brought the crib down for him to sleep in. Is the way it’s set up safe? Is he too tall for it and is the sheet okay? Also he got his arm caught in between one of the bars and twisted it and we thought he broke his arm... he’s fine but it makes me scared he’ll hurt himself and i know crib bumpers aren’t safe.

Yes it’s safe. As for the bumpers, my daughter kept getting her arms and legs stuck so her pediatrician said if she can roll, we can use one. (Not long ago it was unsafe to NOT use them) so studies keep changing. Anyways, we used one but made sure it was extremely secured so she couldn’t pull it off and it was breathable. However, she never slept by the sides. She slept on her belly in the middle.

He looks totally safe! Once his chest is above the crib railing (think where his carseat buckle goes) then he could definitely be at risk to climb out but he looks totally fine right now! There isnt much chance of him actually breaking something, all newer cribs follow the laws for certain distance in between the slats, although he might get freaked out a bit lol

In my birthing class I took last weekend they said the bumpers aren't safe when they are so small they can't move around. She said once they are old enough to move and squirm you can put them back on, she's been a delivery nurse for 25+ years. Hope that helps!
