period started end of Dec. goin through beginin of Jan

soo, im December i didnt get any spotting until the last 2 weeks then it all started with 2 Half-Dollar sized clots with wavy strings around them. then a bit of achiness in the abdomen. then was gone for 2 days then January penny sized clots came out when i pee'd.....is it unusual for it to start towards the end of the month.???? and my ovaries ached on each side back and fourth like every other day once or twice through out the day.... its Jan,12th and still leaking clots...
