Scans
I’m really curious as to why this happens and I’m sure there’s at least one person on here who can shed some light as to why this happens...
In America women get scans from like 6 weeks onwards even if their pregnancies aren’t considered “high risk”, yet in the UK women usually don’t have a first scan until 10-14 weeks. Why is this?
Surely seeing as the first 12 weeks are the most risky, scans should be done earlier and more frequent?
As a young, first time mum I’m really struggling to last until my dating scan which isn’t until the 5th Feb. Every new symptom that arises terrifies me and I’m so paranoid, I swear this isn’t helping my pregnancy... 😪
