Dry skin or Cholestasis getting worse?

I was diagnosed (bile acid blood test) with Cholestasis at around 16-17 weeks pregnant, which is super early to be diagnosed but my blood test was positive. Barely positive, but positive. They started me on Ursodial for Cholestasis. The past few days I have been super itchy again, on my hands and feet and just itchy all over at night. Could Cholestasis get worse? Is it worth a call to my doc? Or maybe just dry skin? Thanks ladies!

Yes. It can get worse. But itching has no corellation to your bile acid numbers. You could have very mild itching with Very high numbers. Some women say eating a low fat diet helps with the itching!

I hope your doc has agreed to induce you before 37 weeks yes? Also numbers higher than 40 are considered serious and delivery is recommend at 36 weeks. There is a great Facebook group called ICP/itchymoms.
