Working out issues

So every time I start working out, I get too sore and then can't workout for a couple days and then I end up not working out for a week or two more. How do I stop that? I even just start off with body weight exercises to not get more sore. I want to start working out and eventually he heavy weights because I want a booty by summer. (I usually gain muscle pretty quickly so it'll be possible if I could just keep working out)
