Night wakings

I’m still nursing and plan to nurse after 12 months so I’m not daytime weaning but I’m desperately hoping my son night weans soon...how often do your babies wake? We’ve had periods of time of 0-1 waking but he will not wake less than twice for some reason. I’m so tired. I tried to nightwean with phasing our (feeding for less minutes), delaying response (up to an hour), and scheduled times. I’m either too soft or he’s too hungry. My last concern is that he’s waking up often because his eczema is itchy 😐😫
