Why do I feel like I’m being naive?

So I spent the night with a guy I met on Bumble.  He is such a nice guy and it was going really great. All except for the dry penetration. I’ve had guys wanna skip the whole foreplay thing before. But complete, dry penetration ( that was rough) seemed a tiny bit harsh to me. I mentioned this to him, and he seemed to get really upset with me about it.

He should be upset! With himself though, not you. He needs to up his sex game cos in 2018, for a man to not know that a vagina needs to be lubricated before shoving his penis in there is a bit ridiculous. I’m happy you said something to him because at least now he’ll (hopefully) learn not to do that shit again. If he’s great in every other area, maybe it’s worth keeping him & training him up sexually

I don't see why you are taking such a passive role in your own life. He didn't decide to penetrate you dry, you allowed it. How is he supposed to know you aren't ready if you say nothing. Clearly he was ready. You saying this after the fact to him probably makes him feel incompetent and in a sense destroys his image of what happened. How about next time a guy is trying to move forward tell him you aren't ready yet if you aren't and suggest something else that might get you there or initiate for foreplay yourself. Don't just lie there and let things "happen" to you.
