Getting into sitting position?

My daughter can now sit up on her own if someone sits her up, still sometimes toppling over, but she’s never gotten into the sitting position on her own. She seems to meet physical milestones on the later end. Can your baby get into sitting position on his/her own?

My daughter will be 9months in a couple weeks and has been crawling and sitting up for months now. She can pull herself up and walk on her own if holding on to something, and stand for a few seconds alone before falling. Buuuuuut, she also spends most of her day on my soft bed moving around, so that’s probably played a big part in her doing those things early. Sometimes floors can be hard on a kid.🤷🏽‍♀️ But all kids progress in their own time so you shouldn’t be worried about milestones if the pediatrician says it’s fine

My daughter was sitting unassisted at 4.5 months and putting herself into the seated position by maybe 6 months or so? Somewhere around there.

My LO isn’t either. It’s totally normal for this age still, don’t worry. If I sit my LO up she knows how to put herself down to her tummy to try to crawl. She’s been up on her knees rocking and throwing herself forward the last week or so and she’s more interested in that. My kid is a mover, not a sitter.

No he can sit on his own but he cannot get himself into a seated position by himself yet. My LO is also not even crawling. I think you’re fine.

My daughter will be 8mo on the 24th she is pushing herself around (backwards mostly) or turning herself but not crawling. Can sit by herself no problem but is not pulling to stand or putting herself into a seated position yet.

My son hated sitting for a long time. He would just try to lay back down and get onto his tummy. Then out of nowhere he began sitting unsupported for extended amounts of time (30-40 minutes!) with toys and then just around turning 8 months started to get himself into a sitting position. He stands on his head and lifts his legs then drops onto his butt. He won’t stop doing it now. He even does this in his sleep. Haha
He also began crawling a 7.5 months and just yesterday at 8 months 10 days pulled himself up into a standing position and made a few steps around a play table. All of this happened within less than a month! 
He also started making new sounds like baba, dada etc. all in the same month!!

My daughter’s been putting herself consistently in the sitting position since about 6 months. Just encourage a lot of play on the floor. She’ll be sitting in no time

no. my son Sat up by himself for the first time yesterday without us supporting him! He's 8 months today. he is being assessed for his leg development and starting physio soon! my son is not reaching his markers however he still has little movement and has weak muscle tone!
