mad that I don’t like her

I was talking to this girl who’s also my best friend and I made it clear I don’t want a relationship right now but she told everyone I was her girlfriend and so I got weirded out and told her I cared about her and she would always be my best friend but she got pissed and now a bunch of my friends hate me but like i’m sorry I don’t like her. It’s not like I lead her on. I was straight up but she made it all in her head. it just sucks that people are mad st me for something I can’t control.
