TTC after mirena removal

I had my mirena removed the 27th of December and bleed for a little over a day. I had for 3 years so not really sure how to track for ovulation. I put in the ovulation calendar and said I ovulated the 9th I did a lot of baby dancing and I have recently been experiencing tender and swollen breast on and off and very slight cramping. It’s only the 17th and I really want to take a test but really nervous to take and test and have it be a bfn. Anyone have any experience with this? Or suggest when to take a test and what brand they recommend?
