B.V in the first trimester

I feel like this is a Damned if you do damned if you don’t sort of thing. My doctor says she say bacteria on he culture but won’t prescribe metroconzole till second trimester. I would say I’m symptomatic since I knew I had it. I read stories online that people miscarry in the first trimester if they don’t treat it , I’ve also read that taking the drug in the first trimester was linked to miscarriage. I feel like I’m doomed and I don’t know what to do to protect my baby.
