Taking out and industrial piercing??

I’ve had my industrial piercing done since last April. Could I take it out overnight to sleep without any problems? Would it start to grow closer? Can I do it every night? It’s driving me crazy not being able to sleep on this ear, my cartilage get sore when I sleep on my ear that’s not pierced so you can imagine how it feels to sleep on my piercing

I changed mine to 14g studs for a few months and the irritation stopped and then I put my bar back on you could try that it’s more comfortable to sleep in

If you take it out the hole can get smaller within minutes. If  its irritating you then soak it every night in water mixed with sea salt. That usually lessons the irritation. Try not to sleep on it until its healed completely.
