He's jealous and just doesn't understand me

I'm a virgin and I have currently started dating this new guy. He gets upset that I don't want to do anything sexual with him because I have done sexual stuff with other guys. I don't know how to explain it to him that I was just experimenting with them and I didn't want to be completely inexperience In a way he understands. But when it comes to a person that I feel so intimate with, I just want to wait because I take things seriously. I always feel like I'm walking on eggshells with him. He has been hurt so many times before with his exes that he doesn't want to take things slow and I keep having to repeat myself. I always feel like he's trying to guilt trip me but I don't know. I've explained it so many times already but we just always end up on the same thing. I can't help but overthink this relationship.
