I wouldn't be upset. When I do it I consider it me time. PERSONALLY, I think it's wrong to tell someone they can't touch their own body or be angry at them about it. Self gratification is healthy and because you're with someone shouldn't mean they can't feel good on their own sometimes too. It's great he was honest with you. But if you aren't feeling sexually satisfied because of this then tell him right away. It's normal for people to masturbate while still in a relationship but it shouldn't be so frequent that they're leaving their partner hanging and causing issues.

The only time it genuinely upsets me is when I want to have sex and he says he isn’t in the mood and he already got off that day.
