My boy is going to be 6 months on the 28th of this month. We went to WIC two days ago and they said my baby wasn’t drinking enough formula a day. He will only take 4oz at a time every 3hrs and then one 7oz bottle in the middle of the night. So he gets a total of 26-28oz of formula a day, depending on how he’s feeling, sometimes less. I’ve tried to give him 5-6oz and he won’t take it. Just wastes it.

Here’s his usual routine every day.

1-2am 7oz bottle

730am 4oz bottle & 2oz fruits

1030am 4oz bottle & 2oz fruits

130pm 4oz bottle & 2oz veggies

430 4oz bottle & 2oz veggies

7pm 2-4oz bottle

Last bottle of the day is 7pm, sometimes he will only take 2oz at that feeding then goes to bed by 730.

Is he not getting enough? Seems like he’s gaining weight just fine. He’s now 17lbs. At his 4 month check up he was 15lbs. When he was born he was 6.9lbs.

Formula fed only, never breastfed. Started solids everyday at 5 months.
