BV or Yeast infection ??

So my boyfriend and I have always used the pull out method of birth control. Recently I've allowed him to ejaculate inside me. This happened maybe 3 nights in a row and I don't shower immediately after, but I do shower daily. Since, however, I can't get wet, there's no itching, but a definite change in smell. 😷

I've been treated for bv once before after a miscarriage and the symptoms are similar. I guess my question is should I try to treat for a possible yeast infection before I have to see a d
octor? Or does anyone know if bv Can be treated otc? I'm one who will avoid an apt if at all possible.. 😱

I'm all for natural remedies and I know this might sounds gross and unappealing to some women but I find it great! if it's a yeast infection and your experiencing the discharge then putting a clove of garlic up there tied to a string with some poked holes works! I do it at the second of starting symptoms and usually it'll be gone in less than two days. you might get a garlicky smell but that can go away with dipping a tampon in baking soda and water then putting it up there for about 10 15 min. that should take away the smell almost instantly. as for bv, the tampon and baking soda idea usually helps me and takes away the fishy smell immediately. or filling a tub and adding a cup of baking soda just kinda rub it in and the smell will go away. my husband and I were trying for a baby for almost 8 months and all the sperm was constantly throwing off my ph and I was tired of going to the doctors office so I did tons of research and these remedies worked we better!

I’d go to the doctor just to be safe. I believe that BV does not have otc medicine but I may be wrong.

Since sperm is a different ph level that your natural vaginal ph, it can throw it off and cause BV. When I had an IUD I had BV consistently since I didn’t have a period. Anyways, you can either wait for your period to basically reset the ph in your vagina or go to the doctor and get the metro gel again.

You can't treat bv by otc meds. A gynecologist told me this! I had BV like 2 months ago. There's prescribed meds you can take if you go to the doctor. They work really well!bv emits an odor and yeast infections don't.

Sometimes a mans semen will give you a smell. It happens. Go to the doctor and they can pinpoint what it is!
