Does BBT really matter?

Hey everyone! So I have been tracking my BBT for a little over a month and I never really see any major rise or dip. I’m always around 97.6. I have had egg white discharge and positive ovulation tests, just no BBT rise. Is there still a chance I am ovulating and could get pregnant even without that temp rise? Help a sista out.

I've read a study that shows that very few women can see a noticeable pattern when charting their bbt.  I tried for months and mine were just all over.  Even tried a Yono thinking it would be more accurate.  More of the same. I'm not sure I'm actually ovulating though, even though I've gotten regular periods.  Might just be me. Honestly I'd rely more on tracking cm and using opks.

The hormone progesterone is released after ovulation and it was causes the rise in temp. It may be worth mentioning to your doctor because low progesterone can make it hard to get pregnant.

If you’ve only been tracking BBT for one month, then you really don’t have enough data to be drawing any kind of conclusions. It too 3-4 cycles of tracking before I could see a pattern, and you can often only see those patterns in retrospect, not as they are happening. I’ve been doing it for 6 years now. My cycle takes a very distinct pattern that I can now recognize and predict.
