Just started TTC but need IVF

My husband and I were only ttcing for 4 months but because we were over 35 I decided we should get some basic tests done just to make sure everything is okay.

Well..my husbands count and morphology were incredibly low (3mil and 1 respectively).

We just saw the fertility specialist we were referred to and he basically said IVF is our best option and the chances of us getting pregnant naturally are extremely low and only about 10% with IUI.

We are both a bit shocked because we haven’t been trying for very long and it just seems like such a big jump. He is running some more tests and re-running my husbands SA but unless anything comes back very different he is confident in this course of action.

I guess I just needed to share. On one hand I’m glad we didn’t spend years trying before knowing we had a problem but on the other we won’t be able to build up to IVF, do you know what I mean?l
