Breast pump? Insurance?

Hi all,
I’m due in April. How do I go about getting a breast pump and getting my insurance to pay for it? I’ll be returning to work full time in August so I will need to pump.
Do you have any recommendations on type or brand? 
Can I return it if I’m not able to breast feed?
When should I plan to have it by?

check with your insurance to see what they cover then see what in network medical device locations they have. medela  is supposed to be a great brand. I am hoping to get one. I just found out my insurance will cover 100% with no deductible. definitely worth it when they cost 200-400.

My OB has to write the prescription for my breast pump to be processed through insurance. They wouldn’t write the script until my third trimester. 
I got the Medela breast pump and it was fine. I hated pumping and I was able to stay home with my daughter so I didn’t use it more than a handful of times. 
I would call your insurance to see what they cover and whatnot. Most insurances cover breast pumps now.

I called the insurance company and they gave me the number of the company they issue pumps through. Called that number and they sent one out that same day. I got it in the mail less than a week later. We have Federal insurance though, so it may be different.

Aero flow! It's amazing, you just type your insurance numbers in, wait to get approved, pick your pump from their site, then a representative will call you and you'll be able to place your order. They even call your OB and get your prescription! I literally didn't have to do anything, it was free and shipped to my house within a few days. The whole process took a week maximum. I got the motif duo and I'm due May 3rd❤️

I just got mine through target and it was super easy. Google target breast pump through insurance and it should direct you to the right page. It’s through McKesson. All you do is fill out the application with your insurance info and they email you once they know which pumps you’re qualified for. 
You email back and pick a pump, and send a pic of your prescription. Then you’ll get an email to go pick it up at a target near you!
Whole process took like 5 days for me.

Call your insurance company, the number is on your insurance card. They will walk you through the process, as it varies a lot by company and plan. I’d call now, just to find out the process. But you may need to wait a little longer until you can actually get the pump.
