First finger food?

My daughter has only had purees. I’m so scared of her choking. What is the best finger food to start with? Thanks.

My son skipped puréed food and went right to solids at 5 months. My pediatrician said as long as you don’t get them something bigger than the tip of your pinky you won’t have an issue. He’s 13 months now and we’ve never had a choking issue. Just make sure the foods cut up and anything she likes is fine.

When my son was 8 months old he ate a full Thanksgiving meal, dinner rolls, brussel sprouts ect. I like starting with scrambled eggs, bananas, strawberries stuff like that. My son is 10 months old and can eat anything we eat. 
His 2yr old sister swiped the apple fritter for him while she was “helping” me make breakfast.

I gave my daughter baby puffs for her first finger food. They just dissolve so I wasn't worried about choking.

I love the little puffs and yogurt drops that dissolve/melt in your mouth, i never worried about choking with those when i nannied and with my god daughter and babies seem to love them

We started with the baby chips and crackers because they can hold and chew them but they also melt in your mouth if not chewed so it’s hard to choke. Other then that, my daughter had big slices of fruit (she also had teeth though) baby hot dogs, Cheerios, things like that. She is 2 and has never choked on any food. I’d say it depends on your little one, and if they have teeth, if they are advanced in eating, etc.
