I was terrified I wouldn’t know when I started going into labor because this is my first child! But my water broke on Friday afternoon at 1:52! There was no missing it lol I was 38 weeks and 6 days! Not too long after it broke, at 9:36pm, we had a sweet sweet baby! 8.2 oz and 19.5 inches long! Once getting to the hospital and passing the test that said it was amniotic fluid and not urine, we got into a delivery room and I got an epidural! Because my water had already broken, they gave me some pitocin! When we got to the hospital, I was dilated to a 3 and then when we got to L&D;, after 2 hours I was to a 5! Then they turned up my pitocin from a 6 to an 18!!! Boy did those contractions start coming faster and harder! Even with the epidural, I was struggling to even breathe! 2 more hours pass and I was at a 9.5! My nurse let me do 2 practice pushes to see if I could move her down, and sure enough.. I was moving her so well that after the 2 practice pushes, I did 2 more and then they had to stop me because she was crowning and the doctor nor team were in yet! I pushed as hard as I could a few more times, despite being extremely hot and nauseous.. and soon enough, she was out! Totally not as terrifying as I thought it would be! The instant relief was amazing too lol

I had a horrible start to my pregnancy and I had hyperemesis, but it is SO worth it in the end!! Not to mention that I only pushed for 23 minutes! My nurse told me I get bragging rights lol WE ARE SO IN LOVE! 😍😍
