Baby fever at 16?

Question

I definitely do NOT want to be pregnant right now and I have no intentions on getting pregnant any time soon but is it weird that I just really want to be pregnant? I have a wonderful boyfriend and sometimes I just think about the life we could have together with a kid of our own. I’ve always loved babies and toddlers and he has a nephew that’s a year old and I love him to death, he’s the sweetest baby I’ve ever seen and being around that baby just really drives me crazy about having a baby. Is it normal? :/

It’s natural.  We’re women and it’s a natural instinct to want to care for babies.  I had it too when I was your age (I’m 32 now).  Helping take care of my niece and nephew when they were born helped to set in a lot of the reality of the situation and helped me understand that having children when young is HARD.  My brother and his wife were really young when my niece was born.  She (my niece) graduated high school last year and my brother and his wife are still together and in love, but it was hard time for them.  I’m grateful I got to watch them struggle though.
You sound smart bc you know now is not a good time for you to be pregnant.  But what you’re feeling is normal,

Set alarms at night for every hour and stay up for half of those hours. With the sound of a baby screaming. Then during the day don’t take any naps. Attach a suction pump to your boobs. Play the baby screaming audio again. Then MAYBE you might have a SLIGHT idea of what it’s like to have a baby and reconsider lol. I have never felt exhaustion like that in my entire life. It’s true you don’t know what being tired is until you have a kid. And if I were you I’d save all my energy until I was really ready to have kids and not Just likes the idea of a cute baby

Not weird at all, but hold off on that baby just because things can change and people can change and you don't want to be on your own raising a baby or something like that.
