Am I right to be mad about this?

My boyfriend and I are long distance  and haven’t seen each other since the beginning of the month. We normally still get to see each other almost every weekend but he’s starting a new job so we won’t be able to be together again until March. He texted me yesterday asking if I was free this weekend and I said yes. He even mentioned something about coming down last night but when I told him to let me know if he was going to he didn’t respond. I text him this morning asking why he didn’t respond last night and he says that he still feels bad and doesn’t want to get me sick (he had the flu). This basically means that we won’t get to see each other until March or May at the latest which sucks.

So your asking if it’s ok to be mad that he didn’t want to get you sick so he postponed? Sounds to me that you are acting a little immature if you get mad over something so petty.

No. He was sick and doesn’t want to risk getting you sick. Why would you be mad about that?

You are allowed to feel however you feel about it. In my opinion, It seems strange that his words and actions are not aligning. In other words, why would he ask you if you are free and mention going there and then not even respond to your communication about it? And now I am seeing your comment that he said he didn’t want to be around you during your period? I don’t think that’s really fair. So last weekend if you didn’t have your period, he would’ve went to see you? But now this weekend he doesn’t want to get you sick? Furthermore, when you asked why he didn’t respond to your message, he said “he doesn’t wanna get you sick”... well ok, but you asked him why he didn’t respond to your message, not why he doesn’t want to come over. I don’t know, in my opinion, it sounds like he’s making a lot of excuses. Knowing that he will won’t see you until May, he wouldn’t even see you during your period? Somethings not right about that. If he really wanted to see you, he would’ve seen you.

I understand his point of view! #1He's sick and miserable prbly doesn't feel like traveling. #2 if he cares about you doesn't want you to be sick and miserable too. I never will see my bf when I'm sick even if he says "it's ok". Go travel to see him if you want

go see him this weekend and take soup, tissues, cough drops and whatever else he may need. if you want to take the chance getting the flu thatsbkn you but he s probably exhausted and doesn't feel like traveling.
