Trying to conceive with baby # 1👶🏻

Trying to conceive this year, my periods are 42 days apart.. I went January 21st to get my 21 day progesterone blood test done, at 11:40AM and it came back negative. I came home 4-5 hours later took a ovulation test and it came out positive. The same day! Is the normal to get a positive 4 hours or so. I’m really confused.. I’ve still been testing on ovulation sticks. And they seem to be positive. I’ve never gone though any of this before... Everytime i do get a positive we of course baby dance. Any advice??
