Who else has a problem with their in-laws?

Never had a problem with my partner's parents and step parents.
From the beginning, I made the effort to get to know them and find what we might have in common. It also helps that I treat my partner like a king! I truly love my partner's family and know how important it is to have a good relationship with them.

My future in laws and I don’t get along at all. My SO is technically only biologically their son as he was removed from their care at the age of 14. I get along great with his foster parents though and the grandfather and uncle he’s close to. But his parents are a nightmare. They treat him like a cash machine. He’s 22 and an engineering student who only is able to go to university due to government assistance (thankfully the government gives really good scholarships to foster kids for higher education). Yet they had him move them across the whole country on his own dime. He cleaned out their house which wasn’t cheap and they didn’t help at all- they needed a massive dumpster due to all the crap his mother hordes. He paid for their flights, put the down payment down for their house with all of his savings from his summer job, etc. And this is only the most recent money grubbing crap they’ve pulled. At 16 he paid for their new roof. At 17 he bought them a car. Thankfully, they did pay him back for some of the money he spent moving them but not all of it. So I don’t like them very much personally. And they don’t like me because I try to get him to stop spending money on them so that he can afford school and to put groceries in his fridge. 
Plus, I’m Catholic and they’re Pentecostal so I’m automatically a horrible person to them apparently. And don’t even get me started on their blatant disregard for science and medicine- I’m in the medical field so it causes a lot of tension too since I don’t put up with anti-vax or treating cancer with herbs very well. I tried really hard to get along with them, but I get really tired of their rude comments and judgemental behaviour. My plan is to live across the country from them when we get married. And I won’t be getting married until I know he’s going to be able to say no to them (which he’s getting better at). I didn’t think this would be so long! I’m really ranting... they drive me totally insane.

Me and my boyfriend started dating at 15 I got pregnant at 17 and then they hated me for not having an abortion and it’s been that way since I’m now almost 20
