I can’t name my baby what I want:(

So my husband and I decided to give our daughter the middle name Rose! The main character in my favorite movie (Titanic) and because I’m named after a flower as well. We think it’s perfect and beautiful. So I tell my mom who starts crying and says that’s my step dads daughters middle name! She came from his infidelity in their marriage. She says that if I name her that it will drive a wedge between her and my daughter because the cheating is still fresh to her (happened in early 2000s). Especially because my daughter just happens to be due on the girls birthday. Go figure....

I am SOO frustrated!!!! We haven’t been able to decide on a name and have argued over it and looked at hundreds of them. So now after finally picking and then finding this out I am so upset! 😪 what would you do???? Go with a different name or tell your mom to get over it.
