How did your labour start?
Just interested to hear some stories of lead up to labour, to keep my 39+4 pregnant mind motivated and occupied until the big day.
Did your water spontaneously break while in the grocery store? Did contractions start mild and increase like the telltale pregnancy stories? Or did it just come on hard and fast? Did you have bloody show beforehand or a couple days before? Did you just have a “feeling” it was going to be the day?
Enlighten me!
With my son, I had 2 membrane sweeps before anything came about, after the second one I went into early labour the same night as the sweep, and continued early labour with contractions every 5-13 mins for 3 full days until he was born on his Halloween due date.
With my daughter, I went into labour at 2am with no warnings (apart from many preterm labour symptoms in the weeks before as lead up) that started every 5 minutes around the clock, and she was born 15 hours later.
It’s pretty amazing how unique each birth story is.
