:( Emotional or Justified?

My mom seems more concerned and focused on the well-being of my brother's wife and other brother's girlfriend. I'm already upset that we're all pregnant at the same time and all due the same time. Hubby and I had been planning and trying and they weren't. I've never had the best relationship with her but it hurts that she only calls to tell me about how they're doing and is all over Facebook being super excited for them and posting about them (like specifically using their names). Sigh.... it just hurts....

Justified. I would be hurt too. Smh I would say something though. I’ll be damned if my mom doesn’t give my spoiled ass attention lol I live four hours away and my family and their support is everything to me since we don’t have a family where I live. Just talk to her and let her know it’s hurting your feelings. I’m sure she’s not doing it intentionally.

have u spoke to her about how u feel? explained how it makes u feel? failing that u don't need negativity so personally I'd block them off social media, won't stop it but I don't have to put up with seeing it. plus I'd also try showing u lack of interest by ignoring some calls n changing subject when she mentions them just say "oh that's nice" did it'll you.....pull yourself away from it. n don't let them see it upsets u as from past experience they'll do it all the more to get a reaction. good luck

Why does it bother u to be pregnant while they are ? It just means all the cousins will grow up together. That is hurtful from your mom but I would try to emotional distance yourself instead of trying to seek emotional support from Her if she continues to ignore you. I just don’t see it worth it to keep chasing after someone even a parent ! Speaking from my personal experiences
