ovulation
Hi all,
I’m trying to get some insight here...
My husband and I starting seeking fertility treatment in October after just over three years of trying to conceive naturally with no luck. Our guess was because of the irregularities in my cycle. Some lasting 50 some days and others at 30 some. Never was successful with tracking ovulation with my basal temperature, nor my cervical mucus. And ovulation kits were a joke.
This was in October and doctor immediately put me on a round of Clomid and Metformin to help me ovulate, if I was not already. I did ovulate successfully after two rounds (both October and November), when she checked the progesterone levels. Huge relief for us there, but the answer she gave us was I likely have PCOS.
Move forward to this past cycle, round three of meds...Letrozole this time, with continued doses of Metformin for good measure. Today I’m at day 41 and no real symptoms of a visitor coming. However, the last few days my cervical mucus has been more eggwhite like, but I figured it wouldn’t be fertile because I likely ovulated earlier (like a few weeks ago).
In a few hours I will head to the lab to have a blood draw to confirm my ovulation, and likely a negative of pregnancy.
But I just wanted to see if anyone has ever had anything similar to this happen with them trying to conceive. Infertility is not fun, however it is a huge blessing to have a community of support online with others who are also struggling. Thanks for that!! I am compelled to share the struggles so others do not feel alone.
