Debate!
I've heard many stories of women who knew that they were pregnant, but didn't produce enough hCG for a test to detect.
This led to them being refused for an ultrasound to determine if they were pregnant and how far along they were. In these stories I've heard, many of these women were refused an ultrasound until they were 6 months pregnant!
I got pregnant a year ago and kept getting negative home tests and blood tests until finally I was 7wks. I knew I was pregnant and I finally got my positive. A week and a half later I miscarried.💔
I was shattered. I felt angry with my doctors for not trusting me, but I understand that a low hCG level may mean that a miscarriage was already going to happen regardless if I'd known sooner. (Doctors words.)
This leads me to my next question.
Should obgyns start trusting our intuition? Would they not because of insurance reasons? What do you think would happen if they did start trusting us? I wanna hear opinions!
(Apologies if I posted this in the wrong group, but I couldn't find a debate group.)
