Have you or someone close to you had the flu this season?

Question

I was curious of how many people have already been cursed. 
I'm in Roanoke, Virginia and my sister's in laws got it, then my niece and nephew, then my sister, then MY mother in law and her 1 year old, now my fiancé and I have it. So I would say it is way more contagious than we all thought  😷

Near Pittsburgh Pa here and I had it and my 5 year old did. My 3 and 1 year olds, and my husband managed to avoid it.

I'm from Ottawa, Canada and my husband and I got it on New year's Eve. I was 20 weeks pregnant at the time. It was horrendous. I wouldn't wish it on anyone...

Yes, I’m from CT and I believe that I did have it and so did my daughter, my sister, and my mom. Two close friends of mine and two coworkers also had it. The only thing is, when i went to the doctor, the flu test came up negative, but the doctor said they can only test for certain strains and the strain may not be detectable by the test they have. I fully believe we both had the flu. From what I’ve read, it’s more contagious because the virus is airborne.

Myself, my sister, my mother and my stepdad all got it within 24 hours of each other right after Christmas. I got hit the hardest - I was down 10 days. We’re out in Nipomo, CA.

No but I hope I don’t! I heard it’s really bad this year because of some virus that’s in it. Many kids have died from it. I literally kept my almost 1 year old son in from the stores or anywhere! I’m so scared

my husband had a cold, and I had a cold. 
but my mom had pneumonia and the flu. and one of the kids I nanny for had pneumonia the other one was just sick. 
no I have not gotten the flu shot.

My little brother got type 1 and 2 at the same time, in colorado. I dont know anyone else who had had it thankfully. New baby in the family so that could be devastating

I’m in Texas. I haven’t gotten it but my grandpa, grandma, and my aunt did.
