Flu shot in 3rd trimester?

I’ve never had a flu shot, doctor strongly recommends I get one. Is this safe to do at 32 weeks pregnant? Has anyone got a flu shot this late in pregnancy?

Get one! It’s the worst flu season in over 10 years. There have already been at least 30 children who have died. It can be fatal for your baby. Even if the flu shot is only 10-30% effective, that’s still better than nothing! I got mine at 28 weeks with no issues.

I want to say I was around 30 weeks when I got mine. I haven’t had any negative side effects from it. This was the first flu shot that I’ve ever had.

The flu shot is only 10% effective this year, not worth getting. I didn’t get it my husband got the flu and i never did i was good🤷🏼‍♀️

When I was pregnant with my daughter I got it and I was fine and didn’t get the flu. I was offered it this time and my doctor said it won’t cause you to get the flu, but I heard these shots aren’t helping against the virus anyway so..idk what to do lol I don’t work and my daughter stays home with me so we don’t interact with the public very much and when we do I’m purel crazy lol

First flu shot. I was like 28 weeks ? I think. I STILL got the flu a few weeks later. I was very pissed but the say you don't get it as bad and you would of if you had not gotten the shot so idk.

Just got mine at 34 weeks. I have a two year old and he got one too. Not chancing it for either of us this flu season. It may not cover all the strands but better safe then sorry plus at the least it’ll lessen the effects if we do get it.

Yes! I just got mine last week at 33 weeks. Flu season is predicted to continue for a few more months and baby gains some immunity through you if you get one.

I would feel more comfortable getting it later in a pregnancy versus earlier bc the baby is more developed. The risk of miscarriage associated with the flu shot is highest in the first trimester.

I got mine at 30 weeks after them asking me over and over to get it I got the flu a week later 🙄
