Anyone experienced kidney stones?

This is my second experience with kidney stones this pregnancy and this time is far worse than the first time. I spent 2 days in L&D; monitoring the baby and the stones, and I passed one. They said since I passed one, I could more than likely pass both but I am miserable. I’m drinking the water, taking the flomax and antibiotics but I can barley do normal housework through the pain and I have to go back to work tomorrow. Any advice??

Omg, I’ve only ever had one not while pregnant and I was on Percocet for like 10 days. I can’t even imagine what you’re going through. On the upside, my sister said labor was easier than passing a kidney stone, so the rest of pregnancy should be easy comparatively!

I had stones when I was 18 weeks!!! Omg the pain was awful. I passed out in the hospital and they gave me pain meds (baby safe) and I was so worried it was something to do with the baby. I passed one at the hospital as then one at home. I went back to L&D; a week later because I was still in pain. They gave me fluids and pushed the stone out. I think that was the last one 🤷🏼‍♀️ it was horrible. So many blood draws, pricks, and pain overall. I’m just so happy baby is perfectly fine 👌🏼🙏🏼❤️

Yes!! This is me.. this is my first pregnancy, I’ve already past 3 kidney stones this pregnancy. I’m currently 29 weeks. Honestly the first one i had, i went to the ER and they only gave me Tylenol. And made me pass the stone without medication. Then with my second one, they finally gave me pain pills stronger than just Tylenol. I’ve been using heating pads while i sleep, and drinking 100% lemon juice to help break down the stones. Drinking a lot of water. It hasn’t been easy with the stones, i feel your pain.

I had them at 34 weeks during my first pregnancy and it was horrible. They admitted me to L&D; and kept me over night the pain was so unbearable. Had to get a catheter to empty my bladder and kidneys, and put me on fentanyl. It finally passed a few days later. I wouldn’t wish that pain on anyone. Before I went to the ER in the days leading up, a warm bath seemed to help with the pain. Good luck, I hope you find some relief soon ☹️
