Due date ?

If I’m 30 weeks and the doctor said the baby weighs 4.5 pounds already when the the typical weight is supposed to be between 2.0-2.5 pounds, does that mean I’m measuring ahead in weeks then?

I learned with my first ultrasound measuring is an art not an exact science. They kept telling me that he was gonna be 9lbs and he measured big the whole pregnancy. My little man was born at 6lbs 8 ounces. I  wouldn't put too much concern on the size as long as everyone looks healthy!

Honestly, ultrasound measurements can be pretty off. With my first son I was told at 32 weeks he was over 5lbs, for the rest of my pregnancy  i heard how he was a "big baby" and to expect at least a 8lb baby.  He was born 5lbs 13 oz. My tiny little man.

The typical weight isn't 2-2.5lbs at 30 weeks. 4-5 pounds is more accurate.

I’m also “30” weeks and my baby girl is measuring a week ahead and has been the entire pregnancy 🤰🏼 she’s 4lbs already and they grow about .5lbs each week.
