They ordered a Ultrasound at 38 weeks!? Should I be concerned?
2 year's ago I had a stillborn baby woth Trisomy 18 at 36weeks and 4days. So far this pregnancy everything has been healthy and checked out okay. I have wanted and asked for another ultrasound once we get closer to the due date just for reassurance a few times, but was told they will NOT do another ultrasound unless medically necessary. Ive had 2 ultrasounds this whole time one at the beginning to confirm the pregnancy and one around 20weeks for the anatomy scan. I have an appointment last Wednesday 1/24/18 (with the midwives who I've seen my entire pregnancy with no issues) she said the baby was wiggling around and at the time was measuring ahead by a week and a half but she assured me everything was fine, and I had nothing to worry about. They just wanted to measure his fluid and him and double check everything. Now today 1/30/18 she measured me and I was still where I was last week measuring at 38weeks and I heard the baby's heartbeat and have felr him moving all over...and she asked me about my previous pregnancy and I told her my baby was born at 36 weeks and weighed 3lb 12 oz. and who my doctor was she who is normally very chatty and comforting said very little and left me feeling so nervous...When scheduling my next appointment she followed me out to the appointment desk and told the secretary make sure the ultrasound is for no later than tomorrow (1/31/18) and make sure the appointment for next week (2/7/18) is with one of the doctors NOT a midwife!? My mother and law was with me and was so happy I was finally getting the ultrasound I had wanted to double check everything...but as a mother who has already seen many uneasy faces while pregnant...they are not leaving me feeling like everything is okay....Should I be concerned or am I just over reacting?
