When are/did you start purchasing things for your baby?

I’m 10 weeks today, and I guess I’m super excited to start purchasing for my baby? I don’t want to jump the gun, but I also want to get things out of the way. When did you start ? I know some things require us to know gender, but there’s still things we can get out of the way.

I found out the gender via blood test at 11 weeks I’m now 16 weeks and last week i bought a few outfits/blankets I thought were cute! It’s never too early to buy diapers and wipes!

We got the baby’s crib and changing table at 9 weeks lol

Second trimester. When you’re out of the higher risk of miscarriage. I’m 17 weeks and find out the gender the 8th. I’ll start after that. With my first I started after 20weeks.

Didn't start until 30-31 weeks. Even then it was just some clothes. Got the rest at 33 weeks when my registry completion discount was activated on Amazon.

I'm 23 weeks and have nearly everything purchased. I don't see why wait to be out of the miscarriage zone... that's kinda like saying don't buy anything until the baby is born because you could have a stillborn🤷🏻‍♀️. Buy neutral so if god forbid you do miscarry, you can just use it for the next baby! I love albeebaby.com for most big items because you can get 20% off. I got a lot of the smaller stuff such as towels, soap/lotion, wash cloths, etc from amazon.

Honest I would wait until you are out of the miscarriage risk. I would hate to buy a bunch of stuff and something happen. But that’s just my personal opinion. We didn’t start buying until 16 weeks. And even then we just bought diapers and things we would absolutely need that would have to be purchased a lot rather than big items that need to be purchased once. You also need to think about what you’ll want to ask for, for the baby shower if you plan on having one.
