When to tell our parents?

I’m trying to decide when to tell our families. I’m about 6 weeks but will figure out for sure at my first ultrasound on feb 19. I’d also kinda like to be able to include an ultrasound pic in our announcement to them but I kinda wanna do it sooner. My other thing is, I’d be happy to announce to my family now as if anything were to happen, I would love their support. But, I don’t want to tell his family quite yet as I don’t think I’d be comfortable letting them know if something happened. My sister already knows (she’s my best friend and knew I was going to get blood work done to confirm it so she figured it out) so I just don’t know when to tell the rest. Any ideas are welcome

I told my parents because they wait until we announce to talk about it with other people.
My husbands mom tells EVERYONE before we get a chance to. 
This is baby number 4, and we are finally going to do a proper cute announcement at about 12 weeks, MIL will find out then
Last 3 times we got a bunch of “congratulations!” Like seriously 5 minutes after telling her at 5 weeks. Never again

I am also waiting for ultrasound before I tell my parents this weekend. Will be 9 weeks. Planning to show them "baby pictures" on Chromecast on the big screen TV, and sneak in the ultrasound image there with pictures of my first born (18 months).

I’m 6 or 7 weeks I get my first ultrasound this coming Friday. I already have everything ready for the announcement to my family only. I ever post on social media until after my child is born because anything can happen within 9 months.

I told my parents and my SO parents when I was 5 weeks but I am really close to them all! If anything would have happened we would have told them anyway!

I told my husband to tell his family whenever he wants, but NOT to tell his friends as I want to leave it for later. I couldn't wait to tell my parents and siblings. I really wanted to hold it until I go for an ultrasound when I'm 8 weeks, but I couldn't wait. I just told them last week giving my almost 2 year old daughter the 88 cent pregnancy test  and hand it to them lmaoo. Lmao they took a while figuring it what it was, but eventually they  found out haha..( I was 6 weeks when I told them, now according to glow I'm 7 weeks 3 days)

With my first pregnancy I told my family around 8 weeks. Even though I told my mom not to tell anyone, she did. This time I’m waiting until 10 weeks. Both families live out of town so it’s easy to hide. I would love to wait until 12 weeks when we get an ultrasound but my dad and step mom are coming in town around 10 weeks so of course I have to tell them. They will suspect otherwise when I’m not drinking. Ha

do what you need to do. for our first, there was some worry about my hcg levels so we had an early ultrasound at 5/6 weeks. we told everyone then even though we hadn't seen a heartbeat at that point (a little too early; saw at 8 weeks). my mom had me on speakerphone with my brother and his family when I was talking about how worried I was about the first ultrasound, and I only realized it after they knew I was pregnant. I felt it was only fair to tell both families then. 
this time, I've only told my mom and some friends. we're not telling anyone else until our first appointment at 10 weeks when we make sure baby is all good for that point. I don't have the best relationship with my MIL, actually neither does my husband. I just know that if we told them before we got verification from doc and something went awry, she would not be supportive. she'd probably say it's something I did or didn't do to blame, and I would not be able to take that. so I'm insisting they don't know until then which means my brothers don't know either. 
I told my husband that it's non-negotiable that my mom knows. she's one of my best friends. she was even in the room for almost my entire  36 hours of labor and birth for my first. my husband understands.
