36 weeks +1 day & cramping

So I just got 36 weeks yesterday and for the past two or three days or so I have been having cramping on and off. Nothing major just feels like minor period cramps I have not noticed losing my mucus plug and there is no bleeding...just wondering if anyone is experiencing this or has? Is it normal? Does it mean labor is coming? This is my second pregnancy but I don’t recall having Braxton Hicks or at least I didn’t feel then. Idk if this is what’s happening but my stomach has just been feeling strange the last few days. I go to the doctor for check up tomorrow so i will definitely bring it up just looking for some insight if any! Thanks ladies
