Reveal- is it weird?

So we have our anatomy scan tomorrow!! My fiancé and I really want to be the first ones to know what the gender is. We wanted to find out at the ultrasound and then have a cake for our families on Saturday. Some people are telling me thats weird and that my fiancé and I are supposed to be surprised by the cake too. What does everyone think?

Not weird, my husband wanted to know but I wanted to be surprised. So at our scan he found out and then got a box with matching balloons and we opened it together with our families.

Nope!! Not weird. Hubs and I found out together. we revealed to our families a few days later. I made cupcakes, filled them w pink icing and had everyone take a bite at the same time. Everyone was so anxious and excited the whole day! We were just as excited seeing our families reactions when they found out.

i wanted to find out but didnt and it was so much fun that way!!!!! we bought a plastic football to fill with either pink or blue. my dad opened the envelope literally 5 minutes before we kicked it to fill it.
