How often do you wash your baby’s toys?

My 3 month old daughter has started to pull toys into her mouth to discover and learn. It’s adorable! But what about the germs? How often are you supposed to wash plastic toys? What about soft toys?

Never, unless my dog gets ahold of it or if they get dropped outside 🤷🏻‍♀️

I only wash them if she's chewing on them when she's sick.. other than that i never do.

I have only washed them if they have spit up on them, when my son had pink eye, and when the dog licks them. Other than that my son eats all the germs and has only been sick once with pink eye.

I try to wipe dowm her favorites once a week or before and after the little boy I watch twice a week chews on them. The less popular ones might get a wipe down once a month, whenever I notice it's been a while

This is how the majority of babies build up a good immune system by exploring through their mouths. I wouldn’t get too worried about germs not all germs are bad! I give her toys a quick clean with sterilising wipes every month I don’t get too obsessed over it however I am big on keeping the home clean so I know whatever the toys lay on or get put on is clean so it’s picking no new germs up of the floors etc. My LO is 8 months old now and crawls everywhere you can’t physically keep every single thing in the home germ free! Soft toys I wash on a 90 degree every month or so as I do have a pet so need to keep on top of it! Hope this helps xxx
