Doctor office schedule conflicts

Hi I was wondering if you ladies with more experience with doctor's offices could help me out.

I've always been a very healthy person and very rarely needed to see a doctor so my experience with them are pretty limited.

I have a problem with my OB's office being very inflexible with scheduling appointments but then calling back to reschedule and only giving me a certain time to schedule me in on a different day. I understand that things come up but it's getting to be a very repeated issue. And what annoys me more is now they seem to expect it. Furthermore when I called them back today after having to call my husband so he could change his schedule to accommodate my OB I got a different nurse and she suddenly told me that they had more than one time slot and the nurse before was lying to me.

I feel for other women when the doctor wants to schedule a surgery for what always seems like exactly on my appointed time which is why I've tried to be as accommodating as I can be. But at this point I feel like I'm being taken advantage of.

Is this a common issue or should I just look for another OB?
