Maya update: PCOS.

Maya • 32, 2 MCs in 2018, both at 8 weeks. Polyp & Endo removed in June.

Caveating this post that I'm abnormally emotional right now (likely AF around the corner) so take this with a grain of salt. Had a great appt, the Dr. and staff were great. He agreed that my irregular cycle and luteal phase lengths were bothersome so he did an ultrasound today and said I have PCOS and possibly something called adenomyosis (havent Googled what that is yet). Also did blood work and genetic testing. Next steps are more bloodwork on Day 3 (assuming AF comes) and a hysterosonogram (which I assume is the HSG y'all have been taking about?) and a semen analysis for Mark. Dr seems very optimistic but as soon as I got home and started reading things I broke down in tears 😭. I guess it's good to have a plan but at this point I'm more concerned about the other health issues that cause PCOS or can happen because of PCOS. My dad has bad health and a history of diabetes and heart issues so seeing all the articles about risk factors has me a bit freaked out... 😕.
