Does this sound typical for a 9 month old?
This is my first baby and I always feel like I am doing everything wrong. No one else around me has had kids yet. My older sister or brother either so I was the last baby pretty much. This is our routine.
7 am - wake up, eat half Container of babyfood.
7:30 am - play time
9 am - 4 oz breastmilk, then down for a nap
10:30 am - wake and play
11 am - other half of baby food and play
12:30 pm - 4 oz breastmilk, down for 2nd nap
1:30-2 pm - awake, eat some puffs, play
4 pm - 4 oz breastmilk, down for short nap
4:45- 6pm play
6pm - bath time
6:30 pm - 1/4 Cup of oatmeal , 4 oz breastmilk
7 pm- down for the night.
From 7pm- 7am he may feed a couple times at night or it may be for comfort. Not sure.
As you can tell my son only takes 4 oz of breastmilk at a time and hardly ever takes more than 16 oz a day. He doesn’t eat as much baby food as other babies do but he still eats some and loves to practice feeding himself with puffs. He’s hitting his milestones, having the correct amount of wet and dirty diapers and seems like a happy baby overall. He’s a quick learner and never really cries.
But people tell me he doesn’t eat enough and our routine seems boring and it seems as if I am not doing the right things. Does our routine sound okay? I am open to change or suggestions.
