If you wanted marriage after dating for a few years but you significant other doesn't or is unsure of you after 2 years and you're older, would you risk staying with him until HE tells you when he's ready or leave knowing that you'll be waiting around a some years without i being certain.

If your partner is unsure of you and your relationship after 2 years I don’t think there’s any point to sticking around.

Trust me men know when they’ve met the person they wanna be with. Especially after 2 years. If he hasn’t figured it out I suggest you move on.

I would leave. My husband and I were married before two years. He said he knew after a few months that he wanted to marry me.
Right before my husband, I dated a guy for three years who didn't want to get married. After we finally split up, I was available to meet my husband.

I'm in minority here then. We moved in together after 2 years, after further 2 he proposed + we started ttc, 2 years later we got married. (Luckily we conceived 1month after wedding and not following  this 2year pattern!) 
It wasn't easy. We met when I was 29 he 35, he wasn't in rush to live together while I started thinking on proposing myself, then I'd know one way or another. Started asking him to move to mine, even tho I rented+house shared and he had own place. He kept asking his friends and family if I'm the right woman for him! I had many unhappy moments, sometimes sobbing uncontrollably sometimes in his presence: I couldn't control it. Eventually he asked me to move in, I was happy for a while but sobbing nights came back. I also lost my perfect job, made it to self employment, a few times had to work away a few weeks at a time. 
Not sure what prompted him to propose, but his love grew since visually. But I never really calmed until wedding. Now he is so crazy affectionate and caring, we've never been in such love. And expecting baby. There, my different story, sorry for long post.

my  husband is 35 and i am 42. we met for a coffee date on august 2 2015. sept 7 2015 we moved in together. november 25 2015 he proposed. feb 11 2016 we married. feb 20 2016 we found out we were expecting our first. our son was born sept.19. 2016. march 31 2017 we learned we were pregnant again and saddly we lost our son june 23 2017 and burried him july 5 2017. today is february 2 2018 and we are celebrating 2 and a half solid years of growing as a couple and as a family. we are actively trying for our rainbow. we are happy we share a 16 month old son and an angel son. he is great to my older sons who are 20 and a half and 16 years old. when you meet the one you know. if the relationship is stagnant it will not move forward. sorry.
